January Favourites 2015

The past month has gone so fast, I cannot believe that it is February! It seems crazy that we are already into the second month of 2015. I’m hoping this year will be filled with wonderful opportunities and many blogging experiences to encounter.

To start this months favourites off, I want to bring back a personal favourite of mine in the form of a book. For Christmas I received Sophie Kinsella’s Shopaholic to the Stars. The Shopaholic series are one of my all time favourite books and I return to them every couple of years as they are so light hearted, fun and a general easy read. This book is the recent release in the series and although not my favourite it definitely has the typical 'Rebecca Brandon (nee Bloomwood)' feel. I love how carefree and optimistic the character of 'Rebecca' is at all times and it's definitely the type of novel I would love to someday write.

Now onto Beauty, this month I have been testing out quite a few products to do reviews and blog posts on. Along the way I have found a few favourites that will be added to my everyday make up routine and also my trusty little make up bag.

The first is the Smashbox Photo Ready Primer, I purchased the three sample sizes for three different primers from Smashbox and have been testing out the original. I love it; it provides a smooth base to apply my make up on top of and also allows my make up to last throughout he day.

Next is Nars Sheer Glow Foundation, this has to be one of my favourite foundations, even though the foundation and it’s name is kind of a contradiction in itself as personally I do not feel it ‘Glows.’ I love the way it leaves my skin looking flawless and also does not patch during the day.

Another product from Nars that I have loved is the red lipstick in Red Lizard. I have mentioned this product in previous posts and also in some of my outfit of the day posts. It is the perfect shade for in-between bright and dark red lipstick.

I recently purchased a few of the new Real Techniques Brushes and I have been loving the contour brush. it is very easy to make a natural contour with this brush, along with a more dramatic look if you prefer. I love the fact that I can now create definition in my cheekbones should I wish to as previously I found it very difficult to with just a bronzer brush.

Finally for skincare I have been loving the Ren Hot Cloth Cleanser, I use this product each night before I go to bed and it leaves my skin feeling so soft and gentle. I have definitely seen an improvement in my skin since using this product.

What were your favourites this month?
