‘Good Times & Crazy Friends Make the Best Memories’
The quote above is perfect to describe my friendship with my two best friends. The times we are away from each other I miss them dearly, but squish us back together it’s as if we never left each other’s sides. For Jordan (best friend #1)’s birthday, myself and Tash (best friend #2) joined her on a Spa Day back in late December. Spa days are an essential part of life; they must be experienced at least once. They are a time for relaxation and reflection, they allow perfect bonding time and, of course, gossip!
We went to Bournemouth for our day, in particular The Connaught Hotel. The booking was relatively simple and they were happy to cater for my gluten free needs, which is always an extra plus. On arrival, we were greeted by a lovely lady who took us through all the requirements and our plans for the day. We were then left with a lovely pot of tea before heading down for our day. The Spa was just beautiful and it was only after that I realised I had been to this hotel when I was much younger with family.
Our day consisted of lounging around the pool, enjoying the benefits of the Sauna and Steam Rooms – which by the way I had never done before and now love! Enjoying a Swedish Back & Neck Massage before having our Afternoon tea.
The day was literally perfect and the staff were very attentive to our every needs. Should we have a question – they answered it. We were also really left to our devices to decide how our day would go, we could decide what time we wanted our treatments and also when we wanted our Afternoon Tea – for the time in between and after we were left to wonder around the hotel and Spa.
We couldn’t have asked for anything more and I am sure I am right in saying that best friend #1 had a lovely birthday!
